LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 36-year-old faces open murder charges for a man found dead at a lot north of the Las Vegas Strip.

Las Vegas Metro Police arrested 36-year-old Tiofu Sooga. Tuesday, he was located and taken into custody at the Clark County Detention Center.

Police said dispatch received a call about a man, possibly dead, at a vacant lot in the 2100 block of Paradise Road. This is near Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara.

Police responded around 9:11 a.m. Officers arrived and found an unresponsive man. Medical arrived and said he died at the scene.

Crime scene investigators found the death “suspicious in nature” Homicide investigators took over.

The Clark County coroner’s initial examination showed the victim suffered blunt force injuries.

“The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, can be obtained through the Clark County Coroner’s Office,” police said.
