LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas police say the suspect in a police pursuit and an officer were taken to the hospital Monday night.
Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the incident started just after 8:30 p.m. with officers trying to conduct a traffic stop at 12th Street and Bonanza Road. Police said the car fled from officers and hit a Metro Police car.
The driver started to speed, and a pursuit was initiated.
Police said the pursuit stopped near Lake Mead and Lamb boulevards. The suspect started to flee on foot but was later taken into custody.
The suspect and an officer were taken to a nearby hospital with “minor” injuries.
Police said the investigation is in its early stages, and the public should avoid Lamb and Lake Mead.
