LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are investigating a deadly crash involving a motorcycle in the southeast valley Wednesday morning.
According to LVMPD, the crash occurred at Flamingo and Grace Street, between I-11 and Mountain Vista Street around 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday. An initial investigation found that a 2024 Yamaha YZFR1 was traveling east on Flamingo at a high speed and collided with a 2005 Nissan Titan attempting to turn left on Seville Street.
The motorcycle rider was ejected in the crash into the front lawn of a nearby residence and later died at the scene.
The Nissan driver was arrested under suspicion of impairment and was booked into Clark County Detention Center on DUI-related charges.
Flamingo was closed in the area but has since reopened.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
