LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline has responded to an appeal from Judge Michelle Fiore.
Nevada judicial commissioners have extended the suspension without pay for former Las Vegas city councilwoman and Pahrump’s Justice of the Peace Michele Fiore as she awaits sentencing in her federal fraud case.
The commission suspended Fiore from her position without pay in October after a jury convicted her of wire fraud for pocketing 70 thousand dollars in donations meant for a memorial to honor fallen police officers.
She instead used the money to pay for personal expenses including her daughter’s wedding, according to the indictment.
Fiore’s sentencing is scheduled for March.
