LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 19-year-old Valle Vista resident, Lajontay Alvirez, was arrested on five counts of driving under the influence after allegedly crashing a truck into a home, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred Saturday, Oct. 25, when deputies responded to a vehicle collision in the 7600 block of Concho Drive.
Deputies discovered a red truck had plowed through the front wall of a residence. Alvirez, identified as the driver, and a male passenger were extracted from the vehicle and received medical attention. The homeowners confirmed that no one was inside the residence at the time of the crash.
During the investigation, deputies noted a strong odor of alcohol coming from both occupants of the truck. An open bottle of liquor was also found inside the vehicle. Alvirez, who reportedly became belligerent with deputies, was detained. A subsequent blood alcohol concentration test showed his level was 0.267%. He was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
