LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A teen who was critically injured in a southeast valley crash last month has died from her injuries, police say.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the 16-year-old girl, who has not been identified, was critically injured after being struck by a car near the intersection of Tropicana and Pecos on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
At the time, police said that teen “darted out” into the road and was struck by an oncoming driver, who was not suspected of impairment.
In an update released Monday, LVMPD shared the girl died from her injuries at Sunrise Hospital on Friday, Feb. 20.
Her death marks the 21st traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for 2026.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
