LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A juvenile is injured and several subjects are in custody following a shooting at an east valley apartment complex on Thursday evening.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired at an apartment complex on Nellis Boulevard, near Desert Inn Road, around 6 p.m. Several people were taken into custody upon arrival.
A preliminary investigation revealed that two adults confronted a group of teens believed to be attempting to steal cars in the area. Shots were then exchanged between the two before police arrived.
One teen was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
