LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metro police have arrested three people so far in connection to a police shooting Sunday.
According to documents and court records, police arrested 19-year-old Lazavion Payne, 24-year-old Calvin Richards and Daiveon Stone, 29. They have been booked into North Las Vegas Justice Court.
A drive-by shooting was reported to Metro in the 5100 block of Hickam Avenue around 10:39 p.m. In the area, officers followed suspicious cars near the intersection of Lone Mountain Road and Scott Robinson Boulevard.
The occupants of those vehicles shot at police, hitting two Metro vehicles. Police fired back before the suspects fled the area.
Additional officers arrived and found both suspect vehicles. Monday, Metro said two people were transported to a valley hospital. One has injuries not life-threatening while the other is in critical condition.
Metro says no officers were injured in the shootout. This is the 4th officer-involved shooting of 2025.
LVMPD says the identity of the officer involved will be released after 48 hours.
