LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Police are investigating a crash involving a train and truck Wednesday evening.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said a train collided with an unoccupied truck in the area near Decatur Boulevard and Sunset Road just after 7 p.m.

Metro was sent to 6420 Cameron Street where a fence and an empty homeless campsite were damaged by the truck.

The fence also took out several vehicles in the area.

LVMPD says a man was in a car on Sunset Road when part of the fence that was ripped out by the train, hit his car. The elderly man says he has neck pain.

Sunset Road will be closed until Thursday as the train repair crew will be coming from California.

FOX5 has a crew heading to the scene and will update this story as new information becomes available.
