LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A trial date has been set for a Las Vegas man facing multiple charges after allegedly attempting to lure a minor child earlier this year.

Irving Malagon appeared in Clark County District Court on June 18. The state amended the charges against him, and he is now facing the following:

  • Luring a child with the intention to engage in sexual conduct
  • Open or gross lewdness in the presence of a child
  • Attempted lewdness by a person more than 18 in the presence of a child under 18

The defendant was arrested in February after he reportedly unfastened his belt and began pulling down his pants while approaching a girl who was walking her dog. She says he told her to look at him, but she refused, got away and called her mother.

A valley man is now accused of attempting to kidnap a second child.

Police say they have since obtained surveillance video that confirms her story. A jury trial in Clark County District Court has been scheduled for August 12.
