LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A trial date has been set for a Las Vegas man facing multiple charges after allegedly attempting to lure a minor child earlier this year.
Irving Malagon appeared in Clark County District Court on June 18. The state amended the charges against him, and he is now facing the following:
- Luring a child with the intention to engage in sexual conduct
- Open or gross lewdness in the presence of a child
- Attempted lewdness by a person more than 18 in the presence of a child under 18
The defendant was arrested in February after he reportedly unfastened his belt and began pulling down his pants while approaching a girl who was walking her dog. She says he told her to look at him, but she refused, got away and called her mother.
Police say they have since obtained surveillance video that confirms her story. A jury trial in Clark County District Court has been scheduled for August 12.
