LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Two men were arrested last week in connection to a series of smoke shop burglaries around Las Vegas.

Daizon Blue and Jermaree Ricks were both arrested in North Las Vegas on Tuesday, July 23, according to an arrest report obtained by FOX5. Both are facing charges of attempted burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.

FOX5 previously reported on the burglaries and obtained surveillance from Break Time Vape showing the suspects smashing through a store window on Sky Point Drive. The business said the thieves would go on to hit the same store three more times in July, and again at the Blue Diamond location.

The thieves would take $20,000 worth of products, as well as a safe and the cash register.

“It sucks that they took all this product and broke the windows and all of it,” said Break Time Vape store Regional Manager, Wayne Boulton Jr.

The arrest report noted that the burglaries took place from June 23 until July 19, hitting “multiple smoke shops across Clark County.” Each burglary occurred in the early morning hours and would involve the suspects shattering the front door with a sledgehammer and cutting the steel interior security gate with a saw.

The suspects were usually in and out in about two to four minutes each time, while another suspect kept watch. Detectives also noted that the suspect vehicle used in the thefts may have traveled back and forth between Nevada and California.

Police were able to apprehend the suspects while following the suspected vehicle to another smoke shop on Losee Road. Once the suspects were observed breaking the glass, police approached the suspects and were able to take Blue into custody. Other suspects would flee the scene, though Ricks was also taken into custody about a half-mile away from the scene.

Both were booked into Clark County Detention Center, where they remain in custody. Blue attempted to post bond, but a judge would later dismiss the payment.
