LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The dean of UNLV Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine, Dr. Marc Kahn will step down from his role later this week.
In a memo sent to colleagues obtained by FOX5, Kahn said he will return to faculty and be the Chief of Hematology in the Department of Internal Medicine.
Kahn joined the school in April 2020 just as the pandemic was spreading.
A source within the school of medicine tells FOX5 Kahn wanted to get back to educating future doctors.
Sources also tell FOX5 the School of Medicine will line up their row of candidates to take over as dean later this week, and expect the role to be given to a faculty member.
