The Rebels were the only team not above the par threshold with an even-par 288 in each of the day’s rounds. They take a seven-shot lead over Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State in a tie for second into the final round.
Led by senior Toa Yokoyama in a tie for fifth at 2-under, all four Rebel scorers on the day sit inside the top 25 through 36 holes. Her matching 1-under 71 scores in both the first and second rounds place her within four shots of individual leader Lauren Gomez from Pepperdine at 6-under.

Freshman Amber Chen, who is competing as an individual, shot a 5-over 149 to place her in a tie for 29th in her collegiate debut, and senior McKenzi Hall (+8) rounds out UNLV’s lineup in a tie for 45th.
Only one team, Cal State Fullerton (28), made more birdies on the day than UNLV with 27. Umezu’s nine birdies led the Rebels in that category, followed by Foong’s, Yokoyama’s, and Chen’s five each as well as Matsui’s and Hall’s four apiece.
