LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV men’s and women’s diving teams will return to action this weekend when they compete at the USC Trojan Diving Invitational Friday-Sunday, Nov. 22-24, at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
The competition begins on Friday with the men’s 3-meter and women’s 1-meter prelims at 11 a.m. The men’s 3-meter finals will start at 12:05 p.m., while the women’s 1-meter finals will start at 12:25 p.m.
Saturday’s men’s platform and women’s 3-meter competitions start with prelims at 11 a.m. The men’s platform finals will start at 12:05 p.m., while the women’s 3-meter finals will follow shortly after at 12:25 p.m.
The meet will end Sunday with the men’s 1-meter and women’s platform beginning with the 11 a.m. prelims, followed by the men’s 1-meter finals at 12:05 p.m. and the women’s platform finals at 12:25 p.m.
Also competing at the meet will be divers representing host USC, California Baptist, Northern Colorado, UNR, Air Force and Pepperdine.
SEASON LEADERS: Leading the Rebels on the women’s side is senior Vika Yanovska, while sophomore Alex Vazquez leads the way for the men. Yanovska leads the Scarlet & Gray on the women’s 1-meter springboard (275.18) and 3-meter springboard (301.95). Vazquez has team-best scores in the men’s 1-meter (341.78) and in the 3-meter (392.40).
