LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Alex Orji, quarterback for UNLV, will be out for the remainder of the Rebels’ season.

The development comes as a result of a hamstring injury that will reportedly require surgery.

UNLV defeated UCLA on Saturday, 30-23, improving to 3-0 on the season with its first win against a Big Ten team since 2003.

Cameron Friel will move up to become the backup quarterback behind Anthony Colandrea, who passed for 203 yards and three touchdowns in the win Saturday.
