LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The UNLV men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will hit the road to the Golden State for a double dual against Cal Baptist and UC Santa Barbara on Saturday at the Lancer Aquatics Center.

The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m. PT with the 200 medley relay, 1000 free, 200 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 200 fly, and 50 free. After a break, competition will resume with the 100 free, 200 back, 200 breast, 500 free and 100 fly. Following another break, the meet will conclude with the 200 IM and 200 free relay events.

REBELS LEADING THE WAC: The Rebel men have six WAC-leading individual times this season, headlined by senior Daniel Nicusan in the 100 breast (52.11), 200 breast (1:53.65) and in the 200 IM (1:45.12). Also adding conference-best times are sophomore Tatsuki Inoue in the 200 back (1:43.89) and junior Ian Belflower in the 200 fly (1:44.71). Additionally, the 200 medley relay squad of sophomore Wikus Potgieter, senior Adnan Beji, redshirt freshman Emil Perez and Nicusan has posted this season’s current conference-best time of 1:25.61.

REBELS ATOP THE MOUNTAIN WEST: The Rebels 800 free relay team of sophomore Ava Olson, freshman Grace Wharton, junior Erika Carlson and senior Bridget Sullivan lead the conference in the event with a time of 7:15.05.

DIVING SEASON LEADERS: Leading the Rebels on the women’s side is senior Vika Yanovska, while sophomore Alex Vazquez and senior Dima Tereshchenko lead the way for the men. Yanovska leads the Scarlet & Gray on the women’s 1-meter springboard (318.00), 3-meter springboard (339.50) and on platform (257.65). Vazquez has team-best scores in the men’s 1-meter (372.75) and in the 3-meter (453.95), while Tereshchenko has a team-best score on platform (355.65).
