LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The 35th Special Session of the Nevada Legislature kicked off Thursday morning after Governor Lombardo called the session last month.
State assemblymembers and senators reconvene at 10 a.m. to consider several agenda items, including SNAP benefit gaps, school zone improvements, and the film bill.
Here’s a breakdown of the latest from each floor session:
12:21 p.m. — After a recess, the Assembly vote has tied. The Film Bill (AB5) will head to a committee for further discussion and consideration.
11:10 a.m. — Assembly and Senate enter recess.
11:06 a.m. — Assemblywoman La Rue Hatch objected to the tax credit bill using the standing rule, which means the Assembly must vote to get the bill into a committee. If the vote doesn’t pass, the bill dies.
11:06 a.m. — Senate formally introduces five bills: SB1, SB2, SB3, SB4, and SB5.
Assembly formally introduces AB1, AB2, AB3, AB4, AB5, AB6.

10:44 a.m. — Speaker Steve Yeager announces that Assm. Daniele Monroe-Moreno has stepped down as Speaker Pro Tempore.
10:17 a.m. — Chief Justice Douglas Herndon swears in two new Assembly members, Jason Patchett and Blayne Osborn.
10:02 a.m. — Senate and Assembly floor session opens with prayers.
