LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Vegas Chamber drew a record crowd for its latest business power luncheon, packing in more than 520 people to hear Gov. Joe Lombardo.
The governor joined business and community leaders along with top elected officials from across Southern Nevada. That included Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar, local mayors and lawmakers.
People heard the governor praise the state’s business climate, touting regulation cuts, lower modified business tax rates and billions in private investment and job growth.

He also highlighted major funding for education and partnerships to expand health care. That includes local hospital expansions and nursing education.
“The investments that we’re making in healthcare access and workforce development in Southern Nevada are possible because of the environment that our governor has created, one that supports growth, collaboration and long-term planning in our state, and we’re seeing that impact every single day,” said Jackie Van Blaricum of HCA Healthcare.
On public safety, Lombardo, the former Clark County sheriff, pointed to new crime legislation and said violent and property crime rates are now trending down statewide.
