LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A longtime Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer has been arrested on several domestic violence charges.
According to the department, Officer Robert Bell was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
It is unclear what led up to the arrest.
Bell is facing five charges including assault with a deadly weapon and coercion with threat of force. He’s also been charged with kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon.
The officer has been with the department since 1999. He worked in the community safety division within the Enterprise Area Command, police said.
“Bell will be placed on suspension of police powers with pay pending further investigation,” the press release said.
This is a developing story.
