LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — New video obtained from grand jury evidence shows the moment prosecutors say a man drunkenly drove his Tesla onto a sidewalk, struck a family visiting from the United Kingdom, and drove away.

The footage, captured by cameras on Gavin Caci’s 2026 Tesla Model Y, shows the vehicle traveling on Harmon Avenue just after 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 8. As the car approaches Audrie Street, it begins drifting to the right, then mounts the sidewalk, the camera shaking as it does.
Crash captured on front and rear cameras
The Tesla’s rear camera also recorded the vehicle bouncing on the sidewalk before, prosecutors say, it struck two adults and a child visiting from the U.K. The car did not stop, leaving a woman lying in the road and her 2-year-old daughter’s stroller skidding into the street.
Witness follows driver, calls 911
A witness called 911 immediately after the crash.
“I just witnessed a hit-and-run, and the guy took off, and I followed him,” the caller told a dispatcher.
The caller followed Caci to a Top Golf location at Harmon and Koval Lane, where the Tesla’s camera recorded Caci getting out of the vehicle to look at the damage.
When a dispatcher asked whether the driver appeared to be drinking, the caller said, “He looked like he was drinking. He walked out, and he was, like, stumbling a little bit.”
Blood alcohol, charges, and trial date
A blood test taken more than an hour after the crash showed Caci’s blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit. Photos taken after his arrest show extensive damage to the front and rear of the Tesla.
The mother and daughter who were struck were initially fighting for their lives. Both are now back in the UK and continuing their recovery.
Caci has pleaded not guilty to DUI and hit-and-run charges. His trial is set to begin Monday, April 13.
