LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Surveillance video obtained by FOX5 from Grand Jury evidence shows the moment Duane “Keffe D” Davis came to blows with another inmate.

According to an indictment, both inmates are facing battery charges related to the fight. Both claimed they were acting in self-defense when questioned by prison officers.

FOX5 has obtained new surveillance video of a prison brawl involving Duane “Keffe D” Davis and Rochlan Hamilton, who is another inmate facing murder charges.

On Dec. 23, 2024, inmate Rochlan Hamilton — who is also serving time for murder — can be seen standing near a sink washing himself, when Davis enters the room as he is escorted from court by an officer. As Davis approaches Hamilton, the two begin punching and wrestling each other, falling to the ground.

At one point, Davis is seen holding Hamilton in a head-lock as the other inmate continues to punch him.

Two other officers approach and inmates are given multiple verbal commands to stop fighting. One officer eventually pepper-sprays the two, and the surrounding officers are able to break them apart.

FOX5 spoke to Davis’ attorney Carl Arnold, who maintains that Davis was not the instigator of the fight and was trying to defend himself.

Currently, Davis is due back in court on these battery charges on April 1. His is set to face a trial jury on April 7.
