LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – In the run up to election day, the candidates for president are in town to make their last-minute appeals to Nevada voters.
Nevada is one of the crucial battleground states they’re fighting to win.
The polls showing an incredibly tight race, which could be why Kamala Harris did double duty Thursday speaking in Las Vegas and in Reno.
Here in the valley the mood of the rally was upbeat and hopeful with voters who spoke to FOX5.
The theme was, “when we vote, we win.”
Harris spoke for about 25 minutes to an enthusiastic crowd of hundreds of supporters at the Craig Ranch Ampitheater.
“We have work to do, but we like hard work,” Harris said. “Hard work is good work, hard work is joyful work and make no mistakes we will win! We have the opportunity to turn the page on a decade of Donald Trump trying to keep us divided and afraid of each other, we’re done with that, we’re done.”
Harris’ running mate, Tim Walz will be in the valley this Saturday.
