LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Though 2024 was “Super” with the debut of the Big Game in Las Vegas (the Super Bowl, of course), there are plenty more live entertainment and sporting events set for the Entertainment Capital of the World– including fun new venues and a Universal Studios horror-theme park.

The El Cortez Hotel will debut its $20 million renovation in February. According to a spokesperson, additions include a new high-limit lounge, two new bars, and restaurant “Hot Noods” by Chinglish.

“Universal Horror Unleashed” is set to debut at Area 15 in 2025, as Universal Studios’ first year-round horror-themed experience. A spokesperson tells FOX5, there is no set date or season for opening.

Fans of the iconic sitcom are anticipating “The Friends Experience” at the MGM Grand, this year, though a spokesperson said to stay tuned for an opening date.

Fans of Formula One can enjoy the race and the sport year-round with Grand Prix Plaza, set for a springtime opening. It will feature F1-inspired karting, 4D experiences and merchandise.
