LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A Wind Advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. Friday for the Las Vegas Valley, and the surrounding FOX5 viewing area. Southern Nevada should be prepared for strong winds and pockets of blowing dust throughout the region.
Wind gusts could top 45-55 MPH throughout the Las Vegas Valley this afternoon. Ground stops and delays will be possible at the Reid International Airport.

Despite the windy conditions, high temperatures will hover around 70°F on Friday. An isolated shower may develop over the local mountain ranges on Friday.
By the weekend, winds will subside, and temperatures will return to more seasonable levels. Expect highs in the mid to low 60s on Saturday and Sunday under continued dry conditions.
