LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A Las Vegas woman was arrested for allegedly administering unlicensed medical services in Las Vegas.
Court documents reveal on Jan. 8, Kayan Hung Corredor was arrested and booked into Clark County Detention Center. Hung faces 18 felony charges for acting as a Medical Practitioner and performing health care procedures without a license and obtaining possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription.
According to LVMPD on Oct. 17 a victim reported that she had become the victim of “Performance of Medical Services with Substantial Bodily Harm”.
The victim told police she found Hung’s business services on social media seeking an esthetician for Botox injections and filler to improve her body due to her dancing profession.
The victim stated while she was vacationing in Peru in April of 2022, she experienced a medical emergency where a doctor confirmed she was experiencing a severe skin reaction. The doctor later told police the reaction was accompanied by discoloration and lumps, which was caused by a foreign substance she was injected with.
According to the report, the victim said the medical emergency caused damage to the left side of her hip. The doctor reportedly performed a surgery to remove majority of the foreign substances from the victim’s body, which required her to take morphine injections for the pain.
The victim says she remains in constant pain and claims she has been limited in her ability to work.
According to the report the business moved to several different addresses, including Angels Hair and Nails Studio on on Rainbow, Angels Beauty Salon on Tropicana, Avilla Beauty also on Rainbow, and lastly KH Aesthetics on west Charleston. The victim stated she was treated at three of the four locations.
The special investigation unit confirmed that “Avilla Beauty” and “KH Aesthetics” were not licensed in Clark County or the City of Las Vegas and Hung did not have a business license.
Police say Hung applied with City Business Licensing under “Avilla Beauty LLC” at 800 N. Rainbow Boulevard but was denied.
Over time the victim was injected with hyaluronic acid, Botox, Marcolane filler from the UK, and liquid lidocaine as a painkiller in her neck, back, buttocks, forehead, nasolabia folds, lips, nose, and chin. She spent over 10 thousand dollars in total.
Medical professional Leo Basch with the Pharmaceutical Board stated these fillers are dangerous drugs and should be administered with a licensed professional supervising the injections.
The arrest report detailed an unnamed individual that was supervising and guiding Hung. The pair assured the victim they were licensed professionals.
On social media Hung showcased various licenses in her name where investigators later found they were falsified with institutes that do not exist.
Hung is set to appear in court on Feb. 13.
