LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – An alleged battery call led police on a quick chase Friday morning.
Las Vegas police received a call about ‘a disturbance’ near Spencer Street and Serene Avenue just before 5 a.m. Police said there were no signs of anyone being battered, however, officers spotted a woman get into a gray SUV and then quickly speed off.
Metro tells FOX5, officers began to follow the vehicle, engaging in a brief pursuit. Police said the woman was driving erratically, crashing into a couple of parked cars.
She continued to drive toward Windmill Lane and Eastern Avenue, where the suspect turned a corner and bumped into a Metro vehicle, police said. The two intersections were within five minutes of each other.
She was taken into custody and to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
No officers were injured.
