LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 57-year-old woman died on Sunday, a week after being involved in a four-car crash in the southeast valley.
On Thursday, May 23, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the crash around 12:18 a.m. on South Pecos Road, south of the intersection with Tropicana Avenue.
An initial investigation determined that a 2014 Nissan Versa was traveling north on Pecos, and failed to slow down as it approached other stopped cars at the intersection.
The crash occurred when the Nissan struck the rear of a 1990 Lexus ES 250 and the right rear of a 2005 Hyundai Tucson. The front of the Lexus was also pushed into the front of a 2022 Nissan Altima.
The driver and passenger of the Lexus were transported to Sunrise Hospital for further medical attention. The drivers of the Hyundai and the Altima also reported injuries but declined medical attention at the scene.
The Clark County Coroner’s office notified LVMPD that the passenger of the Lexus died from her injuries on Sunday, June 2.
