LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 72-year-old woman has died more than a week after a multi-car crash in the southwest valley last month.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department did not identify the woman but said that the Clark County Coroner informed them of her passing on June 2.
The woman sustained her injuries in a multi-car crash on South Jones Boulevard at West Oakey Boulevard on Friday, May 24. Around 1:17 p.m., police determined that a Chevrolet El Camino was traveling south on Jones, while a Kia Soul was preparing to turn left at the intersection.
The crash occurred when the Kia drove in front of the Chevrolet, which struck its right side. Both cars were redirected southwest, where they would crash into a Tesla and Honda stopped at the red light.
The driver of the Kia, the driver of the Chevrolet, and the driver and passenger of the Honda would be transported to University Medical Center’s Trauma Center for injuries sustained in the crash. The passenger of the Kia was also transported, but would later pass away from her injuries.
