LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating the death of a woman found in a central valley home Sunday afternoon.
Around 3:50 p.m., a 911 caller told dispatchers that they found a woman’s body inside a bedroom. Arriving officers located the body of a Hispanic woman in her 20s and determined that the woman suffered from a gunshot wound.
Medical crews pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The caller informed police that they held a party at the home Saturday night that ended around 3 a.m., but the woman was not discovered until the following afternoon.
They added that they did not know the woman.
Lieutenant Robert Price stated during a press briefing that the incident appears to be isolated, and there is no threat to the public.
Anyone who attended the party is urged to share any information about that night with LVMPD.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
