LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas YouTuber accused of gunning down another YouTuber and his wife on the Las Vegas Strip is seeking more time to consider private counsel.
Manuel Ruiz, 41, appeared before Judge Amy Chelini Thursday morning for a status check hearing. Ruiz asked the judge for a three-week extension to speak with his family and find a lawyer to defend his case.
Judge Chelini granted the request, but Ruiz will stay in jail with no bail until his next appearance. He also expressed his need for a lawyer in order to put together a motion for bail.
Ruiz will be back in court on July 3.
