LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Starting in 2026, guests will be able to take autonomous Zoox rides to and from Sphere as part of a newly announced partnership between the two companies, according to a press release.
The partnership will create a dedicated autonomous vehicle pick-up and drop-off zone at Sphere. Zoox, a subsidiary of Amazon, operates fully driverless robotaxis. The vehicles, which have been seen driving down the Las Vegas Strip, are part of the service that officially launched in Las Vegas in September.
“Sphere is built on innovation, and so are our partners,” said Marcus Ellington, Executive Vice President, Ad Sales and Sponsorships, Sphere. “Zoox is transforming the way the world moves, and together we’re reimagining the journey to and from Sphere.”
“Sphere has quickly become an iconic destination and landmark in Las Vegas, drawing millions of visitors annually with its next-level fusion of art and technology,” said Michael White, Chief Product Officer, Zoox. “With this partnership, riders aren’t just being transported between locations; they’re stepping from the future of transportation into the future of entertainment.”
Guests will be able to access robotaxi ride-hail services through the Zoox app. They will then be directed to the autonomous zone, where they will hail their ride.
