LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Authorities are investigating after a person was found dead in a fire at an apartment complex in Las Vegas Wednesday afternoon.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue said they received calls around 1:31 p.m. regarding an outside fire at an apartment complex at 2701 N. Rainbow Boulevard, near W. Smoke Ranch Road. The call was later updated to a human body on fire.
LVFR dispatchers asked the caller to perform CPR, but the caller declined, stating the person was already deceased. Firefighters arrived at 1:35 p.m. and confirmed the person had died.
LVFR said the person was found in an open area near the complex’s garage; there was no damage to the complex.
LVFR Arson investigators and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are continuing to investigate.
