LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A $25,000 reward has been put up by multiple Las Vegas Valley business owners for the arrest and conviction of a hit-and-run suspect.
Las Vegas Metro Police say the crash happened Friday, June 13 at 9:57 p.m. at Desert Inn Road and Grand Canyon Drive. The victim was later identified as 81-year-old Margaret Brown. Police say she was crossing Grand Canyon when she was hit by a Nissan Sentra.
Police describe the Sentra as dark-colored and made between 2016 to 2019 and that the driver immediately fled the scene.

Medical arrived and police say Brown was transported to UMC Trauma where she died four days later.
According to Metro Police’ last update, the driver and the vehicle have not been located yet.
Organizers also plan to place a large billboard on the 215 beltway and Flamingo Thursday with the suspect’s information.
“The benefit is not only to find the perpetrator but to make the citizens aware of the hit and run problem in Las Vegas,” organizers say. “We would appreciate any help you can provide to solve this crime.”
Brown’s death marks the 78th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for the year 2025. The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
