HENDERSON, Nev. (FOX5) – The Henderson Police Department said they identified the suspect accused of barricading himself following a vehicular crash Friday afternoon.
Police said on Feb. 16 of this year, a motor vehicle crash happened around 3 p.m. near the area of Warm Springs Road and Marks St. Following the crash, a barricade started to unfold in the 4900 block of Andover Street. This is near Tropicana Avenue and Boulder Highway in the eastern valley of Las Vegas.
No injuries were reported. LVMPD air, patrol, K9, and SWAT assisted, according to HPD. The suspect was taken into custody around 6:30 p.m. the same day.
Preliminary investigation suggested that a robbery or carjacking incident happened at the scene of the crash.
Henderson police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Jared Busch. FOX5 learned he’s a resident of Las Vegas.
Busch was booked into the Henderson Detention Center on the following charges:
- 3 counts of duty to stop at accident with attended vehicle and/or property damage
- 1 count of reckless driving; disregard to safety
- 1 count of driver failing to obey traffic control devices
- 1 count of driver disobeying peace officer
- 1 count of driving wrong way on one-way road
- 1 count of robbery
- 1 count of grand larceny of motor vehicle
- 1 count of false statement to obstruct public officer
- 1 count of trespass
Police say no further details will be provided as this is an open investigation.
