LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County coroner identified the victims from a shooting in a Tropicana convenience store to FOX5 Monday morning.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting happened Tuesday, March 5, in the 5000 block of East Tropicana Avenue. They were notified by a shotspotter alert near Tropicana and Nellis. Multiple reports emerged in the area of gunshots also heard inside the business.

According to the coroner, the shooting victims are Rona Ah-Foon, a 29-year-old, and Summer Lange, 29. They died by gunshot wounds and their manner of death was ruled as a homicide. Police said a man in his 20s was shot and injured, but remains in “stable condition.”

Preliminary investigation reveals that before the shooting, a Black male who wore a surgical mask rode a bike up to the front of the business and opened fire through the open front door. He then proceeded eastbound through the parking lot and then eastbound on Tropicana.

The suspect is still outstanding, police say.

“We really do need the public’s assistance,” said LVMPD Homicide Lieutenant Jason Johansson. “Anyone familiar with this shooting or the details surrounding this shooting, please reach out through homicide.lvmpd.com or Crime Stoppers.”

Lt. Johansson says police believe this incident was targeted.
