LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police said the suspects who shot and killed a man Tuesday in southwest Las Vegas are outstanding.
Police said they are investigating a homicide at an apartment complex in the 8900 block of W. Warm Springs Road near Durango. The shooting happened around 1:01 p.m.
When officers arrived, they drove past the gates into the middle of the complex. They would be flagged by a few citizens and directed to a man in his 20s lying on the ground with a gunshot wound.
Police said the man died at the scene.
Lieutenant Jason Johansson said details of the investigation are limited. He said the victim lived at the complex with his girlfriend for few months.
Police believe the victim was heading to his car to leave the apartment complex when a car with two suspects drove up and shot him.
The suspect vehicle, believed to be a sedan, drove off before officers could arrive. Johansson said he could not provide additional details on the suspect vehicle as they are receiving conflicting information.
Police believe it was a targeted shooting. He did not provide additional details on the suspects during the media briefing.
