LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Henderson City Manager appointed Deputy Fire Scott Vivier as the new Fire Chief.

Vivier will take his Oath of Office on Oct. 1 at City Hall just before 3 p.m.

On Aug. 19, Viver was selected as the new Fire Chief following Chief Shawn White’s retirement.

According to the Henderson fire, Vivier has impacted the department by implementing innovative initiatives. Such as paramedic training programs and ‘Emotional First Aid & Peer Support.’

Officials expressed Vivier’s dedication to enhancing the Henderson Fire Department by leading the team in addressing the city’s needs.

Vivier earned a B.S. in Emergency Services Administration from Utah Valley University and a Juris Doctor from UNLV, William S. Boyd School of Law.
