LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada celebrated the expansion of electric bikes to east Las Vegas.

According to the government agency, the east Las Vegas Community Center welcomed the addition of 37 new bikes and 24 docks across six new stations.

Officials report that the expansion was made possible by U.S. Congresswoman Dina Titus, who secured $142,5000 in federal funds.

In addition to celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, Bike Share commemorates its eighth anniversary with this expansion.

The new station’s reveal highlighted custom art by Las Vegas artist Melody Gallegos, who was inspired by Hispanic Culture.
