LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A Las Vegas police sergeant accused of unlawfully arresting people on the Las Vegas Strip is facing new charges, according to LVMPD.

Sgt. Kevin Menon is now being charged with two counts of “possession of visual presentation depicting sexual conduct of a person under 16 years of age,” a Metro release said. Menon was arrested on the child porn charges.

The sergeant has been with the department since 2014.

Back in May, Menon was placed on leave after another investigation in which police claim he ordered arrests without probable cause, often following confrontations instigated by Menon.

The investigation culminated with Menon’s arrest on August 30. He was later put on leave without pay.
