LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A North Las Vegas man is accused of beating a driver who crashed his car into a wall, a Metro police report says.

FOX5 obtained an arrest report for Timothy Crane. Las Vegas police accused him of attempted murder.

The incident happened the afternoon of Oct. 21 in the northwest valley. Police said the victim drove Crane’s Dodge recklessly on N. Fort Apache Road.

The victim performed donuts until he crashed into a wall. LVMPD says Crane would later find his car with an air tag and grow angry.

Surveillance video from a witness showed Crane beating the driver, knocking him to the ground and continue beating him.

The video showed the victim not moving. Crane would then pick him up and drag him down a street.

This is when the witness called police and reported the incident.

When officers arrived, they found the Dodge. Police learned the car is registered to Crane.

When police confronted Crane about the incident, he told police that he was in a fight with the driver of the car, but didn‘t identify the driver because he “didn’t want his friend to get in trouble.”

Crane refused to give a statement.

Police would canvas the area where the car crashed and find another witness. The witness said he, along with the victim and Crane were all coaches. He told police that after the fight, Crane dragged the victim into a house.

When police confronted Crane again, he was placed under arrest. Crane told police he took the victim to UMC because of his injuries.

Police would confirm that the victim was recovering at UMC from a skull fracture. Crane denied to talk to police further and requested a lawyer.

A preliminary hearing for Crane is set for January 28, 2025.
