LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A former Clark County politician is now serving his murder sentence at High Desert State prison.
48-year-old Robert Telles was sentenced to 28 years to life with the possibility of parole for the killing of Las Vegas journalist, Jeff German.
German was a longtime investigative journalist for the Las Vegas Review-Journal. He was fatally stabbed in 2022.

Telles’s trial took 13 days. The jury deliberated for three before reaching a verdict.
He told FOX5 he did not regret taking the stand for his own trial.
Since a jailhouse interview after his conviction, Telles still claims his innocence.
