LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The suspect accused of killing a Las Vegas woman and hiding her body in a freezer has pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning.
The suspect, Daniel Roush, who also goes by “Jazlynn,” is facing open murder and drug charges.
According to police, Roush met the victim, Monique Gilbertson, at Home Depot and was offered a place to stay. An investigation found that Gilbertson overdosed on drugs laced with fentanyl, which Roush allegedly purchased and gave her, according to an arrest report.
During an interview with detectives, Roush claims that they found Gilbertson already dead and put her in the freezer because they “didn’t know what to do.”
Roush is due back in court on Thursday, Nov. 28.
