LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The 3630 Foundation is teeing off for mental health support for retired police officers.
The group is holding its second annual charity golf tournament Monday, October 19, at DragonRidge Country Club in Henderson.
The event brings together law enforcement, golfers and community sponsors to raise money and awareness for counseling and other mental health resources for officers after they retire.

Tournament schedule
The day starts with an honor guard presentation of the colors and the national anthem, sung by Las Vegas performer Carnell “Golden Pipes” Johnson. A 10 a.m. shotgun start kicks off the tournament, followed by on-course challenges, food, drinks and a post-tournament dinner.
The 3630 Foundation was created last year in memory of retired LVMPD Officer Rich “Schmitty” Schmitt, who died by suicide in 2022 after struggling with life after retirement.
The foundation recently donated $75,000 to LVMPD for the Rich Schmitt P#3630 Wellness Space, designed to give officers a place to seek support throughout their careers and into retirement.
Event organizers, including foundation president Tom “Wags” Wagner and Schmitt’s wife, MJ Maynard-Carey, said the goal is to make sure officers have help long after they leave the force.
