LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The suspect arrested in connection to the crash that killed two children faced a judge Wednesday morning.

32-year-old Nikki Serrat is held without bail. Her arraignment is expected in two days.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department accuse Serrat of speeding in a Lexus when she ran a red light near Pecos and Flamingo.

She hit a Mitsubishi with a driver and four children inside. The driver had minor injuries. The children were transported to the hospital where two died, and the others were treated and released.

Serrat also hit two other cars in the crash.

Police said she ran from the scene but was later arrested. She faces reckless driving and hit-and-run charges.
