LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 71-year-old Washington driver died after his car reversed on him, Las Vegas police said.
Police said the crash happened Monday at 12:34 p.m. near Maryland Parkway and Cactus Avenue.
The man drove a Ford E-250. Police say he pulled in, exited the vehicle but didn’t put it in park.
Police said the car started to reverse and it rolled over the driver.
Medical arrived and transported him to the hospital where he would die.
“His death marks the 147th Traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for 2024,” police said. “The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.”
