LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Strip is preparing for a busy Independence Day weekend as MGM Resorts rolls out a slate of America250-themed celebrations, including fireworks, patriotic lighting and family-friendly events across several resorts.
Visitors will find red, white and blue moments throughout the corridor, from a special illuminated Fountains of Bellagio display to holiday-inspired exterior lighting at Luxor Hotel & Casino and Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will also host themed Dive-In Movie nights and select fireworks evenings as part of its summer programming.

Other Fourth of July highlights across MGM properties:
- Citywide fireworks (America250)
- Synchronized fireworks shows are scheduled from multiple locations, including ARIA Resort & Casino and MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, every Saturday through July 25.
- Fountains of Bellagio
- The fountains will glow in patriotic colors through July 5.
- Strip lighting displays
- Mandalay Bay’s towers and Luxor’s pyramid will light up in red, white and blue July 3–5 and July 11.
- New York-New York Bridge Bash
- A July 4 event featuring live entertainment, food and beverage carts, and family activities begins at 3 p.m., leading into fireworks viewing at 9 p.m.
- Dive-In Movies at The Cosmopolitan
- Weekly movies at the Boulevard Pool run every Monday through Aug. 17, with Summer Fireworks Nights set for July 4 and July 11.
