LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Clark County launched a recruitment drive Tuesday for candidates interested in becoming firefighters, with online applications open now through Sept. 30.
Those who apply will be considered for the Clark County Fire Department Fire Academy cohorts to be held in calendar year 2027.

How to apply
The department’s minimum qualifications for firefighters include being at least 18 years old, having a high school diploma or GED, and possessing a Class C driver’s license.
Submitting an application at Government Jobs – Clark County Human Resources begins the process. Candidates must then complete an online assessment and video interview through the department’s third-party partner, PSA: Public Safety Answers.
As the selection process progresses, candidates will undergo a drug test, a criminal background check, a medical exam and a physical fitness assessment known as the Candidate Ability Test. Upon receiving a job offer, recruits must complete rookie school through the department’s Fire Academy.
