North Las Vegas police say it was a Crime Stoppers tip that led the agency to it. It’s parked behind the gate of a home near Belmont Street and Orr Avenue.

Police say they don’t know if the race car is inside because they have not been able to access the trailer yet. When we spoke with the trailer’s owner Monday, he said if his property wasn’t recovered, he can’t afford to keep racing.

“I fund my own deal, we have some small sponsors but, it’s tough,” said Trevor Sneva. “We were probably one of the smaller teams at that race. It makes you think twice about doing stuff like this, that’s for sure.”

The trailer’s owner says he’s holding his breath until he learns what’s inside.

As of 3 p.m., FOX5 learned that SWAT is on the way to the trailer as it’s on private property.

FOX5 Las Vegas has a crew on scene and are expecting an update from North Las Vegas police soon.
