LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nine people were displaced from their homes after a two-alarm fire near the Las Vegas airport on Saturday.

Clark County Fire Department said the fire was reported around 2:30 p.m. Saturday at 840 King Richard Avenue, near the Harry Reid Airport Connector and Russell Road. CCFD said flames were coming from multiple units in the two-story residential building.

The fire was knocked down by 2:44 p.m., but ten residential units were impacted. CCFD said they found two cats deceased in the units.

American Red Cross helped with nine displaced residents and Animal Control assisted with the pets.

Damage was estimated at $250,000 and the cause of the fire was under investigation. No injuries were reported.
