LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — SWAT operators and crisis negotiators are on scene of a barricade situation Tuesday evening near Charleston Boulevard and Lamb Boulevard in East Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers initially responded at approximately 3:45 p.m. to reports of a dispute between neighbors in the 100 block of Ronald Lane.
Upon arrival, officers encountered an individual who refused to comply with commands. The incident was subsequently designated as a barricade situation.
Specialized tactical units and crisis negotiators have responded to the neighborhood to initiate communication and de-escalate the standoff.
Authorities urge members of the public to avoid the area near Charleston and Lamb while police manage the active scene.
